  2. 1. Uninstall Problematic Apps: If the user wants to get rid of this issue, then they should disable/uninstall the problematic apps and programs.

  3. Close your Remote Desktop: Sometimes, to fix this issue you should shut down your RDP (remote desktop) in order to get the key to work again. If you want to temporarily disconnect from your session, then you should tap on the Close option which is on the connections bar. Disable Hyper-V: For this, you should press Windows key + X key at the same time and then tap on Apps and Features. Now, you should scroll down and just find the Programs and Features option and just hit on it. Then in the left side, you should choose Turn Windows features on / off. At this point, you should find the Hyper-V option and just uncheck it. At the end, you should tap on OK button and then reboot.

  4. Uninstall Synaptics: For uninstalling, you should press Windows + X together and then select Device Manager. Now, you should find and right-tap on the Synaptic device driver. At this point, you should choose Uninstall device. The user should uninstall all the instances of the Synaptics device in order to remove the driver completely. For this, you should visit to Add/Remove Programs section to uninstall Synaptics again. At last, you should Reboot the device and check AltGr key has got the normal functionality. Use Touch Option to Repair Mouse: The customer should go back to the Device Manager and just look for the option HID- compliant mouse under Mouse. At last, you should hit on it and then tap on green icon in order to update the driver. It will update the settings and it will return to normal.

  5. 2. Add your Language: To add your language, you should hit on Start button and then choose the Settings app. After this, you should select Time & Language and then tap on Region and Language. Now, you should tap on Add a language just under languages option. At this point, you should select the keyboard language which you are using from the displayed list and then choose Next option. Here, you should read the language features and then choose Install option to add it. If the user wants to make the new language the default one, then tap on it and just choose Set as default.

  6. 3. Restart CTFMON.EXE: To restart, you should tap on WIN+R keys. It will opens the run dialog box. After this, you should write the below command and then hit on Enter button: C:WindowsSystem32ctfmon.exe At the end, you will find that your AltGr key will start working.

  7. 4. Update your System: To update your device, you should tap on the Start option. After this, you should choose Settings and then tap on Update & Security. Now, you should choose Windows Update and then tap on Check for updates button. At last, you should Reboot and then check if the AltGr key works.
