  1. If Laptop Won’t Detect the Second Monitor! How to Fix it? Sometimes, laptop won’t detect the second monitor because of the connection issue. For help, navigate to www.office.com/setup. In this article, read the method to fix if Laptop Won’t Detect Second Monitor. Method To Fix If Laptop Won’t Detect the Second Monitor: 1. Check Display settings: For this, first of all open the Windows search bar. Now, you should write Display Settings. After this, you should check the option for Multiple Displays. Next, you should tap on Detect. At last, you should choose the correct source labeled on your monitor’s controls which you are using the correct video port. 2. Run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter: To run, you should right-tap on Start and then choose Control Panel. Then, you should visit to the View by the option which is on the top right side. Now, you should tap the drop-down arrow and then choose Large icons. Here, you should hit

At last, you should tap on Next option to run the troubleshooter. 3. Install latest driver updates: To install, you should tap on Start. After this, you should visit to the search field box and then write Settings. Now, you should visit to Update & Security. Here in the Windows Update settings window, you should tap on Check for Updates. At last, install all the updates which are listed. Install drivers from Device Manager: To install, you should right-tap on Start. After this, you should choose Device Manager and then choose the device and then right-tap on it. Here, you should choose Update Driver Software. At this point, the update driver wizard will launch on the screen. At last, you should choose either of the option Search automatically for updated driver software, or Browse my computer for driver software. 4. Scan for Hardware Changes: To scan, you need to right-tap on Start and then choose Device Manager. After this, you should visit to Monitors and then hit to expand the list. At this point, you will view two monitors and then right-tap on the second monitor’s driver. Now, you should choose Uninstall. At last, you should tap on Scan for the hardware changes icon. 5. Install Drivers in Compatibility Mode: For this, you should download the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website. After this, you should Save it on your local disk. Now, you should right-tap on the driver set up file. Here, you should hit on Properties and also on Compatibility tab. Then, you should check the box which is next to Run this program in Compatibility mode. At this point, you should choose the Operating System from the drop-down list. Next, you will see the driver will install and you should check its functionality. At last, Restart the computer and just check the issue is still there.
