Check Connections for External Microphones: If the user is using an external microphone, then you must check the connections. To fix this issue, you should remove the jack or USB, then you should clean it and the port and just reconnect it. Now, you should check the Windows 11 voice typing not working issue is solved or not. If it is not solved, then you should connect the same microphone to other system and then check if it works or not. 2. Check Microphone is Enabled: For this, you should tap on Windows + I key together in order to launch the Settings app. After this, you should choose Privacy & security from the tabs which is there in the left navigation pane. Next, you should scroll down and then choose Microphone under App permissions. At last, you should check Microphone access toggle is enabled or not.

After this, you should tap on Speech which is on the right side. Here, you should choose the option from the Choose the language you speak with your device dropdown menu and then check the checkbox of the option for Recognize non-native accents for this language. At last, you should tap on Get started button which is under Microphone and just follow the on-screen instructions. 4. Update Windows 11: To update Window 11, you should tap on Windows + I key together to launch the Settings app. After this, you should choose Windows Update tab from the navigation pane. Now, you should tap on Check for updates button which is on the right side to scan for newer version of the OS. After the scan, if updates are available then tap on Download & install option. 5. Run Troubleshooter: To run Troubleshooter, you should tap on Windows + I key just to launch the Settings app. After this, you should tap on Troubleshoot option which is on the right side in the System tab. Now, you should hit on Other troubleshooters. Next, you should find the Recording Audio troubleshooter and then tap on Run button which is next to it. At last, you should follow the instructions on the screen and then select the option when prompted. 6. Update Microphone Driver: For this, you should tap on Windows + S altogether to launch the Search menu. After this, you should enter Device Manager in the text field which is at the top and then tap on the search result. Now, you should double-tap on the Audio inputs and outputs entry in order to view the devices which are under it. Here, you should right-tap on the malfunctioning microphone and then choose Update driver from the context menu. In the Update Driver window, you should choose Search automatically for drivers.
