  1. If PowerPoint is Not Responding! How to Resolve it? If the user is facing problem, when PowerPoint is not responding then you should fix this issue with the below solutions. Check All Updates are Installed: If the users haven’t updated their PowerPoint version then you might face some functionality problems. Similarly, you should also update Windows and the updates should be compatible with your PowerPoint version, because if the update isn’t fully compatible with your version of PowerPoint, then you will face problems. 2. Check PowerPoint Doesn’t Conflict with your Antivirus: Like updates, you should also check that your current security software is compatible with your version of Office, if in case it is not compatible then it will prevent PowerPoint from working. If you want to check that your antivirus is not a problem, you should disable it for 15 minutes, and then again run PowerPoint. If your PowerPoint works properly when your antivirus is turned off, then you should update or change your security software. 3. Remove Conflicting Add-ons: You should hit on the Start Menu, and then type PowerPoint /safe and then press Enter key. When you find the issue is solved, then on the File menu, you should tap on Options and then tap on Add-Ins. Now, you should select COM Add-ins and then hit Go option. After this, you should tap to clear all the checkboxes just Disable the Add-ins in the list and then tap on OK button. At last, you should Restart PowerPoint. 4. Repair Office: You should close the Microsoft Office applications which are presently running. After this, you should open Control Panel and then you should open Programs and Features. Now in the list of installed applications, you should right-click your Microsoft Office version and then hit on Change option. At last, you should select Quick Repair. You should do one thing more in the Registry: For this, you have to open Registry Editor. Now, in the left side you should go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice16.0Common key. Then, you have to right click on the Common key and then select New and then hit on Key from the menu. Here, you have to enter Graphics in the name of the new key. At this point, you should right click on Graphics key and then select New and then click on DWORD (32-bit) Value. You should name the new value DisableHardwareAcceleration. Next, you should double click on DisableHardwareAcceleration value and then just set its Value data to 1. After this, you should tap on OK button to save changes. At last, you should close Registry Editor and then check if the issue is solved or not. 6. Uninstall Office Updates: For this, you have to visit to the Settings app. Then, go to Updates & Security and then click on Windows Update. Now, you should go to Update history and then click on Uninstall updates.
