  2. Faith Cheltenham about Us • FaithCheltenhamhas made it her duty to educate and enlighten white and light accomplices and her Black brothers and sisters about the importance of support for the Black Community throughout the years.  At the tender age of fifteen, Faith, then known as Faith Atwater, identified with the harsh existence of racism as a Black Star Wars cosplaying kid in her hometown of San Luis Obispo, CA. This acted as a major encouragement for Faith and gifted her first major writing award from Parade Magazine.  Faith drives many Black Support platforms with Human Rights at the forefront. Her first official campaign was in 2000 – doing Black LGBT advocacy as a Human Rights Campaign intern on the Gore 2000 campaign. This laid the platform for her role as Co-founder of UCLA’s BlaQue for LGBT/SGL students of African descent in 2002.  As she positively climbed the ladder to lift every Black individual, her presence was further observed in 2006 in FX Network’s Emmy-winning reality series on race in America, “Black. White.” produced by Ice Cube. In 2012, Faith was highlighted as one of The Advocate’s “Forty Under 40”. She was assigned to the University of California’s LGBT Task Force. Faith then became the Co-director of the Bisexual Community Issues Roundtable at the White House in 2013. In 2014, she was further privileged to stand as a stage participant alongside President Obama. In this session, the signing of the Executive Order protecting LGBT employees of federal contractors from discrimination became a reality.  Faith has created varying social media experiences in the face of millions. Her talent and genuine love for black people have also been observed in her publications in CNN’s Headline News, LA Times, Think Progress, Bleeding Cool, The Daily Beast, and New York Magazine, South Florida Gay News, Advocate, Huffington Post, and Washington Blade.
