  2. About Davis Lab • Formed in 1981 by Linda Davis, Davis Quality Engineering operated out of a small rental unit in Santa Fe Springs, California. Two years later a partnership was formed and the company name was changed to Futura Engineering Laboratories. By the summer of 1985 the partnership had dissolved and ownership reverted back to Linda & Jim Davis who subsequently incorporated the company under the name of Davis Quality Engineering, Inc. Davis Laboratories, Inc. is a 24 hour, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, nondestructive testing service, including concrete x-ray and radar. Fully staffed with qualified technicians, Davis Laboratories, Inc. utilizes state of the art, in-lab and on-site mobile radiography equipment.

  4. CONCRETE X-RAY Using radiography, we are basically taking internal photographs of concrete. Because of this, we can see exactly what is in a concrete slab and tell the difference between objects such as rebar, conduit and even post-tension cable. With concrete radiography, precise locations of rebar, P.T. cable and metal conduit can be detected prior to core drilling or saw cutting. This can verify size and spacing of reinforcement in concrete. Results can be used as evidence for litigation purposes.

  6. RADIOGRAPHY INSPECTION We have the capability to perform both live-source gamma and x-ray radiography. By taking a picture of the internal structure of a weld or concrete structure we can detect any problems before they become a danger.
