Not many people know that his start was very modest as an assistant bookkeeper in his early 20s. By 25, Joe had already ventured into his own business with one of his best friends. Joe Girouard takes immense pride in being among the firsts who recognized the potential of the real estate business and was bold enough to spend all his life’s savings into setting up a real estate firm. He established the firm in the late 90s and within a decade, it almost monopolized and controlled 75% of the U.S. property business. He was confident that the demand for good property will only see a rise among the masses and time proved him right. Joe Girouard had his fair share of criticism as well. He was accused of engaging in unethical business practices but was proven innocent just a few months after the trials begun. After he retired, he shifted his focus towards philanthropy and started donating generously to the church, educational institutions, public health causes, and medical research. Some reports say that he had donated more than $500 million to various charitable causes so far.
