Modified Citrus Pectin Modified citrus pectin (MCP in short) also called Low molecular weight Citrus Pectin（LCP）is a water-soluble small molecular fiber polysaccharide extracted from lemon peels.Also known as fractionated pectin, MCP is rich in galactoside residues, allowing an affinity for receptor sites on certain cancerous cells It appears to be a prom-ising agent that can keep some advanced cancers in check by limiting the growth of new tumors, and by affecting the primary cancer as well. MCP also appears to show some promise as a natural, non-toxic chelat-ing agent that binds to heavy metals like cadmium,lead, mercury, and arsenic and helps the body excrete them in the urine.
