  1. The Functioning of A Mobile Bidding Silent Auction •  The main difference between traditional auctions and a mobile bidding silent auction is that in the second instance, no real people are milling around auction hills inspecting the items on display. Instead, the whole process is carried out silently over the Internet, no auctioneer is announcing the bids and the bidding takes place over a mobile or any other Internet-enabled device from any corner of the globe. This is why this form of auction is known as a mobile bidding silent auction.  • At a silent auction, the items to be displayed are put up on the site well before the bidding period so that potential bidders can inspect them. Since it is online, organizers generally reach out to an audience by creating a buzz on various social media platforms. Each item is allotted a number on the bidding sheet given to all registered participants who bid from their mobiles as per the numbers of the items.  • Mobile bidding silent auction finishes at a pre-determined time to encourage bidders to bid quickly and not waste time on this online platform. The winners are announced at the close of bidding and they have to make the payment through one of the options at the site – credit debit cards, money orders, personal checks, or cash on delivery. Delivery is initiated by whoever has the items in possession, either merchants or organizers.  • Mobile bidding silent auction suggests that organizers list the items from the low to the high prices. The logic is that if the higher-priced items are placed at the start, bidders will choose only one item and fail to bid on the lesser-priced items, leaving them unsold.
