  5. POSITIVEREVIEWOFCUSTOMERBY AMAZON This monitor is great for business use. Webcam quality isn't great but simply having a webcam and speakers is useful. Quick charge phone port is convenient, as is the USB-C Power Delivery feature using with my 2018 MacBook Pro. Picture quality is terrific. Bright and even. Screen curvature is helpful also to prevent excessive craning. This is the best monitor I've ever used, very happy with it.

  6. This monitor is great. I was choosing between this and the Samsung CRG9, I went with this one because I didn't want to pay extra for 144hz since I'm not a gamer. My unit arrived undamaged, no dead pixels, and looks great. I highly suggest pairing it with an app like Divvy for window management. So in love with this monitor. I can really use it for work and also to enjoy browsing the Internet. I am not much of a gamer but I can imagine that it would be a whole experience to use it for that. I would encourage you to buy this lovely piece of technology.

  8. MULTISCREENSETUPS With two high-performance monitors in one. Award winning, SuperWide screen is like having two Quad HD monitors. Latest in connectivity with USB-C. HDR panel delivers bright, realistic colors.

  9. PERFORMANCE It’s a VA instead of an IPS panel, with advantages and disadvantages. On the top, the colors are bright and the contrast is great, the latter showing a very good static rating of 3,000:1. allows you to quickly switch between sources. The advantage is the ability to run Windows with 100% readability scaling.

  10. The viewing angles are not very spectacular. That may not be a great surprise because of the type of VA panel. On a screen of this magnitude, where even with the 1800r curvature, the user inevitably views panels from rather extreme angles. The remaining experience is assessed according to the size, aspect ratio of the huge panel, and resolution.

  11. MONITORSTAND The $500 price range monitor tends to have considerably better stands. It does not require a lot of desk space from a practical point of view. And the flexibility is considerably better than on most pits.

  12. AUDIOQUALITY Like other panels in this price range, on the rear of this monitor, there is a pair of 5W speakers, which amount to 10W in the audio output. Surprisingly, they are among the best speakers on a computer monitor you will ever discover. The 3W-5W speaker settings you see so often within 27" screens are absolutely outlined.

  13. CONNECTION ANDPORTS DisplayPort 1.4 input, a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports, and three Type-A USB 3.0 ports. Moving a bit further in, you’ll find a headphone jack and a single USB-C port. It's ideal for docking because the USB-C connector supports 3.1 Gen2 technology.

  14. VIDEOQUALITY This monitor was constructed around a VA panel it offers normal VA panel viewing points. It's ideal for docking because the USB-C connector supports 3.1 Gen2 technology. The VA alignment also offers many of the other advantages. For example, the luminosity of the 450nits is remarkable, partly contributing to the amazing 3000:1 contrast.

  15. CONSIDERATIONSFORGAMING This panel cannot exceed its indigenous 60Hz radiation rate, which is not a problem. After all, this panel was not designed for gaming. The VA alignment also offers many of the other advantages. For example, the luminosity of the 450nits is remarkable, partly contributing to the amazing 3000:1 contrast.

  16. CONSIDERATIONSFOROTHERWORKS Over such a screen, practically without saying, the Philips 499P9H contains a few imaging modes. This display supports conventional VESA installation. This feature has cabling with HDMI, a DP cable, a cable, a USB-A-B, a cable with USB-C, and an A-cable. The power brick was constructed inside the screen and some of the monitor's weight was explained.

  17. MULTICLIENTINTEGRATEDKVM With MultiClient Integrated KVM switch, you can control two separate PCs with one monitor- keyboard-mouse set up. A convenient button allows you to quickly switch between sources. Handy with set-ups that require dual PC computing power or sharing one large monitor to show two different PCs. Also, it is a best gaming monitor

  18. BUILTINUSB-CDOCKINGSTATION This Philips display features a built-in USB 3.1 type-C docking station with power delivery. Its slim, reversible USB-C connector allows for easy, one-cable docking. Simplify by connecting all your peripherals like keyboard, mouse and your RJ-45 Ethernet cable to the monitor's docking station. Simply connect your notebook and this monitor with a single USB-C cable to watch high-resolution video and transfer super-speed data, while powering up and re-charging your notebook at the same time.

  19. WINDOWSHELLOPOP-UPWEBCAM Phillips' innovative and secure webcam pops up when you need it and securely tucks back into the monitor when you are not using it. The webcam is also equipped with advanced sensors for Windows Hello™ facial recognition, which conveniently logs you into your Windows devices in less than 2 seconds, 3 times faster than a password.

  20. DISPLAYHDR400 VESA-certified DisplayHDR 400 delivers a significant step-up from normal SDR displays. Unlike, other 'HDR compatible' screens, true DisplayHDR 400 produces astonishing brightness, contrast and colors. With global dimming and peak brightness up-to 400 nits, images come to life with notable highlights while featuring deeper, more nuanced blacks. It renders a fuller palette of rich new colors, delivering a visual experience that engages your senses.

  26. PROSOFMONITOR 5K horizontal resolution on a massive ultra-wide screen The image is bright Color fidelity is excellent HDR is supported Power is delivered through USB-C KVM switch built-in It's a great alternative for multiple displays. Exceptional feature set Excellent LCD panel quality

  27. CONSOFMONITOR It's a bit on the expensive side. Instead of a joystick, buttons are used to operate the OSD. Some workplace spaces are too big for it. The pixel pitch is mediocre.

  28. VERDICT The Philips Brilliance 499P9H has a lot to offer: the 32:9 broadcast and enormous resolution are good to replace multi-monitor setups in many circumstances, connection is high and the fundamental contrast, color precision, and sRGB gamut coverage are outstanding. However, it cannot deal with more challenging games, and its consistency is weak – thus many pros are serviced better by more traditional displays.

  29. FAQ

  30. Q.Is the Philips 499P9H - 49 inch monitor worth it to buy? - Yes, The 499P9H Philips Brilliance has a great deal to do: the 32:9 widescreen and enormous resolution make it a viable replacement for multi-monitor settings in a lot, there are a lot of connectivity and their fundamental contrast, color accuracy, and sRGB gamut coverage are outstanding.

  31. Q. How do I adjust the resolution? - Your video card/graphic driver and display together determine the available resolutions. You can select the desired resolution under Windows® Control Panel with the "Display properties".

  32. Q. Can I connect my LCD display to any PC, workstation, or Mac? - Yes. All Philips LCD displays are fully compatible with standard PCs, Macs, and workstations. You may need a cable adapter to connect the display to your Mac system. Please contact your Philips sales representative for more information.

  33. NEGATIVECOUSTOMERREVIEWBY AMAZON I cannot get the monitor to work properly as the background screen colour is stuck on green. I can’t use it for my home business office at all. I purchased this because a close-trusted friend recommended it. The price is crazy high which was tough to swallow. The package arrived 5-days late and required signing which was a pain in the butt with my schedule. The set up didn't go well, it had a pink/purple screen when I plugged it in. Philips' customer support was a joke and completely useless, they told me that the screen was defective and to return it.

  34. If you are buying this monitor with Photography in mine then look other places because this monitor sucks when it comes to photography this monitor was built mostly for video editing and some video game I tried editing my photos on it and the color spectrum it's totally off even when you try to use S RGB so if you're considering buying this monitor please note that it is not for photography. I was willing to pay a few hundred extra for this since it had a lot of features that I wanted like the KVM and camera. However, the KVM doesn't work under Windows 10. With a simple keyboard attached, it gets these fits where letters are repeated about 20 times like you are holding it down. Plus, the camera worked once, then stopped responding. With those features unusable, I am asking why I would spend $300 more when I could buy the Samsung 49" display.

US versions do not get a remote to swap the KVM and monitor inputs which makes the switching cumbersome. Other than that the monitor is great. Had I known upfront that the KVM swap was such a pain (even when setting user buttons) I wouldn't had purchased.
