  2. Southern Oregon has a diverse landscape offering outdoor adventure for everyone. Throughout the winter months, you can enjoy the beautiful views of Mount Mcloughlin from Lake of the Woods or enjoy the legendary steelhead runs on the Rogue River. There are spots for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and hiking trails. And getting the right outdoor sporting equipment and accessories in Medford is easy with a store like Black Bird. Here’s your guide to the must-have winter adventure in Southern Oregon:

  3. Mount Ashland This 220-acre ski and snowboard wonderland soar at over 7,500 feet. It is the highest point in the Siskiyou Mountain range. There are 23 runs that you can choose from, most of which are appropriate for intermediate and advanced skiers. Near the lodge, there is a separate beginner area ideal for learning how to ski. This area has a rope tow, while the main trails are served by two triple and two double chairs. With a vertical drop of 1,150 feet and lots of area for open-bowl skiing, skiers from all ability levels are welcome.

  4. Crater Lake National Park The National Park is one of the seven wonders of Oregon. It combines a deep lake that is pure and so blue, two picturesque islands, sheer surrounding cliffs that are around two thousand feet high, and a violent volcanic past. With a depth of 1,943 feet, Crater Lake is the seventh deepest lake in the world. There are 9 different skiing trails along with cross-country skiing tours, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing.

  5. Ice Skating at Lithia Park As the winters have arrived, it is time to lace up your skates and hit the ice. Lithia Park is perfect for skiing under the twinkling lights. And from the nearby bakeries, you can grab a hot cocoa, craft coffee, and pastries. Warner Canyon Although it is the second-oldest ski area in the whole state of Southern Oregon, it is not very popular. With 22 runs and one lift, the small-town feel makes for a fun destination when you are visiting Lakeview.
