  1. Twitter – a Vital Tool for the Upcoming Election in India Elections are the most significant part of democracy, but a well-informed politician is way ahead of his opponent in today’s world. The political leader needs to stay updated about the elections to serve his constituency as best as possible. That is where Twitter comes into play. Twitter has a great scope in India because it is the best platform for politicians to reach out to their followers and followers of similar ideologies. Twitter can help India create a better and more transparent democracy and improve the Indian internet for Indians by giving them a communications tool that isn’t fully centralised in India.

Election in India 2022 Microblogging platform Twitter announced the states of Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand to be prepared for the 2022 assembly elections, which launched on 25th January 2022, which is observed as National Voters Day. The company has announced a series of initiatives to empower citizens with the proper knowledge before casting their vote. Twitter will be launching a customised emoji, which will be used as a notification and reminder mechanism which will allow people to sign-up for reminders on the day of voting starts. India is trending a voter education quiz that will engage people in questions and answers with necessary facts about election polls. Twitter will be using a dedicated search prompt by the Election Commission of India to provide real-time updates and developments on the elections. This will direct people to access reliable information about candidate lists, polling booths, voter ID registrations, etc. In addition to English, Twitter will be adding Hindi, Punjabi, Konkani, and several other supported hashtags in the search prompt.
