  3. PLYMOUTH COLONY Plymouth colony was America’s first Puritan settlement It was established in 1620 by English separatist puritans. There were 100 puritan separatist pilgrims. It occurred in July 1636. It occurred in order to gain power and attain control over fur trade by the parties involved . Over 1500 people were killed in the war.

  6. KING PHILIP’S WAR It is known as the first Indian war. It happened between English colonizers and native Americans. It ended native american dominance. It gave way to colonial expansion. Around 2500 colonists died and twice as many native Americans were put to death. When three Metacom’s men were tried and executed by the colonists, this became the reason for the outbreak. Colonists wanted to acquire more land. This had set the backdrop.
