Higher Order Thinking (HOT) ORGANIZING COMMITTEE Higher Order Thinking (HOT) and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), is a concept of education reform based on learning the Bloom's Taxonomy (BT). The idea is that some types of learning require more cognitive processing than others, but also have more generalized benefits. Higher Order Thinking is more difficult to learn or teach but also more valuable because such skills are more likely to be usable in novel situations i.e., situations other than those in which the skill was learned. HKBK College of Engineering IQAC – Internal Quality Assurance Cell Objective As per National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines, every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution's system and works towards realization of enhancement and sustenance. The Four-Day Workshop on “Enabling Students towards Higher Order Thinking (HOT)” aims to: 1.Train the trainers to inculcate Higher Order Thinking (HOT) among students by standardization of the evaluation procedures of Projects, Seminars, Internships and Laboratories. 2.To develop leadership qualities, imbibe professional ethics and life-long learning skills to contribute to the society and country at large by inculcating Out-reach programmes and AICTE enabled activities. HKBK College of Engineering (HKBKCE) was established in the year 1997 by Sri. C. M. Ibrahim, with a mission to provide the best possible technical education excellence in teaching and research activities. The College is located in a serene and scholastic atmosphere with an impressive infrastructure encompassing six buildings. The College is NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accredited and also accredited for the second time by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its ECE programme, for a period 3 years from 2019 to 2022.
