  1. Importance of clothing and underclothing in our life The amount and type of clothing worn depends on physical, social and geographic factors, and some clothing types can be gender specific. It is known to all that clothing can serve many purposes, as it can serve protection from the elements and can also enhance safety during risky activities such as playing, cooking and many more. It protects the wearer from rough surfaces, insect bites, splinters, thorns and prickles by providing a barrier between the skin and the environment. Clothes can insulate against cold or hot conditions and can also provides protection from harmful UV radiation. Moreover, they can provide a hygienic barrier, keeping infectious and toxic materials away from the our body. Some items of clothing are designed as undergarments, while some others such as t-shirts or certain types of shorts (as they are appropriate both undergarments and as outer clothing). People we are talking about the role of clothing in our daily life, but it is also important to talk about the undergarments that we wear everyday.
