ABOUT UNIVERSITY The Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology in Kanpur is widely regarded as India's finest agricultural research and teaching institution. However, it all started in 1893 with the establishment of a tiny school to educate tax officers. Moreover, it gradually grew into a full- fledged Government Agriculture College (1906). Also, the University of the Punjab Institute of Agricultural Sciences (1969), followed by the CS Azad University of Agriculture and Technology in 1975. In addition, the University was formed by the merger of its two constituent colleges, the former Government Agriculture College in Kanpur and the UP College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in Mathura.

HISTORY Chandra Shekhar Institution of Agriculture & Technology is an agricultural university in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It bears the name of the Indian revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad. In 1893, a modest school established in Kanpur to educate tax officials. It eventually elevated to the rank of a Government Agricultural College (1906), and the U.P. In 1969, it established as an institution of Agricultural Sciences, and in 1975, it became a full-fledged university. At the time, the U.P. Auditoriums The University features two auditoriums, the Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium and the UGC Auditorium, with seating capacities of 950 and 250, respectively, that utilized for Convocations, Conferences, Workshops, University / College events, and so on. In addition to the, all member colleges/units have Seminar and Conference Halls to satisfy academic requirements.
Hostel “The University understands how being away from home can affect the mental and physical wellbeing of students.
