  3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY The Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak, also known as IIM, Rohtak was established in 2010, thus becoming the first IIM to be established in North India. This University is part of the sex new IIMs announced under the 11th Five Year Plan. It is approved by UGC and is an Institute of National Importance. Additionally, this University offers post-graduation, fellowship, Ph.D., and executive management programs. It offers courses for students as well as working professionals.

  5. HISTORY The Ministry of Human Resource Development proposed setting up new IIMs as part of the 11th Five Year Plan in 2007. As per the first phase, four new IIMs were to be set up in 2009. Similarly, in the second phase, three new IIMs were to be set up in 2010. However, only two out of four IIMs could start functioning due to infrastructural issues. The foundation of IIM, Rohtak, was laid on 16 November 2009. Moreover, from June 2010 IIM, Rohtak started commencing its classes, thus becoming the first IIM in North India.

  7. INFRASTRUCTURE Library The University offers its students a rich collection of books in various subjects to enhance their understanding and knowledge. Along with this, the University also has various dictionaries, encyclopedias, and reports. Additionally, subscriptions to various magazines, newspapers, and journals. Students are provided with many e-resources. Also, the library provides the additional learning needed for students to stand out. Hostel Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak provides a boys and girls hostel to its students for accommodation. This hostel has 132 rooms and all the basic facilities. The hostel is located in the M.D. University Campus. In addition to that, the hostel in the Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak, also provides a canteen to its students.
