5. HISTORY IIMV was established in 2015 and started with its most well-known course, Post Graduate Program in Management. As mentioned above, it had been functioning on a temporary campus. Smriti Irani, the Union Human Resource Development Minister, laid the foundation stone for the new campus, which is said to be an area of 240 acres. Moreover, due to the reason that IIM Visakhapatnam was established in 2015, it is regarded as a part of the new generation IIMs. In order to provide capacity building services, IIMV has signed MOU with Andhra University.

7. INFRASTRUCTURE Library IIMV has an extensive library with various books and journals for the students. The students can download e-books and e-journals as well through the connection of the wi-fi campus. Moreover, the campus also has seminar rooms with the facilities of video conferencing. Hostel IIM Visakhapatnam hostel is located outside the campus and there are two buildings that are about 3kms away. All the rooms in the hostel are furnished and air-conditioned as well.
