3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY Indian Institute of Technology, Goa, was started in 2016 and offered bachelors, masters and Ph.D. courses to its students in various fields. 5. HISTORY The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, established the Indian Institute of Technology in 2016. It is one of the youngest Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). For three years, IIT Bombay has mentored this University. In Ponda, Goa, the institution is temporarily located at the Goa Engineering College. The permanent campus of the institution is currently under construction at Sattari in North-Goa District on a 240-acre land.
