1. Ektron To Episerver Migration For Neptune Technology Group Back in February we mentioned the Ektron and Episerver merger, and why Ektron customers should consider migration. Well, the team at Ameex is pleased to announce the launch of our first Ektron to Episerver migration. The new website is for Neptune Technology Group, a global company headquartered in Tallassee, Ala., which is a pioneer in the automatic meter reading and advanced metering infrastructure technologies industry. What We Did The project, which also included a new user experience, visual design and content strategy, was a collaborative effort between Neptune, Copperwing Design, Ameex, and Ameex's own creative division, Square Root Interactive. The Square Root team conducted a full requirements inquiry and site audit which resulted in the new website information architecture strategy, persona development, and user experience wireframe design. 2. Copperwing Design managed Neptune's brand strategy for the project, designed the look and provided brand messaging for the website. The Ameex team of developers followed with the Episerver implementation - transforming the design into a working website. Throughout the project, we carefully monitored the process to ensure design integrity and quality. New site features include an improved product section, better document organization, more relevant content, and an improved sales contact locator. By restructuring the website, Neptune can now give visitors the right information they need to have a successful website experience - one of the key goals Neptune's Marketing Communications Specialist Niki Peterson requested. "Because of changing designs and technology, we like to review our goals and options regularly to make sure the website serves our customers," said Peterson. "Our goal for the website update was to create a visually appealing site that offers our users the most information in the least amount of clicks. Users shouldn't have to search for information, and we want to make sure we are making it easy to use our site." Peterson added, "Working with Stacy and the team is always professional and easy. Through their thorough 'discovery' process, they listened to our needs and delivered a website that goes beyond our expectations." This is the third website launch Square Root has collaborated on with Neptune. One of the original founders of Square Root, and current Senior Vice President of Client Services at Ameex Technologies, Mark Cline believes these enhancements meet Neptune's goals, including more engaged website visitors.
