  2. Welwyn Garden City is a town in the Welwyn Hatfield municipality of Hertfordshire, in England. It is located about 32 km from London.

  3. It was the second garden city (founded in 1920), after Letchworth garden city.

  5. The Garden City is an ideal city built to human scale. The name "Città giardino" comes from the English "garden city", indicating areas completely immersed in the green. To introduce the concept of garden cities was Sir Ebenezer Howard (29th January 1850 – 1st May 1928) with his publication "Garden cities of tomorrow". Ebenezer Howard
