  1. Nursing Nursing is the body of study involved in the independent care of sick, injured, and disabled people according to clinical guidelines. Nursing is a nursing profession that emphasizes human relations, support, and self-care by promoting health, preventing illness, and caring for those in need. A Nurse Practitioner has a degree in nursing and is considered a technician in the field, specializing in basic care and not using invasive techniques. A Nurse Practitioner, on the other hand, has a college degree and provides specialized care and participates in clinical diagnoses. Functions of nursing as a profession

  2. Nursing has four basic functions or specializations: Assistant: focuses on social function and consists of caring for patients. Researcher: gathers evidence-based medical knowledge to find the best treatment. Teacher: trains nurses and educates citizens. Administrator: involves the management of care, planning, organizing, and evaluating professionals to provide necessary medical care. Intercultural nursing and cross-cultural care American Madeleine Leininger (1925-2012) is the founder of transcultural nursing, which consists of knowledge of the differences and cultural similarities that exist for more effective and appropriate patient care. Transcultural nursing is a discipline in which nurses identify practical cultural values and beliefs and provide culturally congruent care
