EID - Road Safety Alert After Ramadan, many people are:- • Excited about the forthcoming Eid celebrations • Want to get back home to celebrate Eid with their families and friends Because of this you might be tempted to: • Leave your worksite early before shift change • Drive private cars in the night • Travel in private cars after a full days shift • Drive at too high a speed • Travel long distances whilst tired

  3. EID - Road Safety Alert After Ramadan, many people forget in the excitement that – • Their bodies are weakened from fasting • Their normal daily energy cycles are altered Remember, excitement does not mean that you can overcome tiredness. Driving whilst tired is a KILLER.

  4. Remember the basic road safety rules • PLAN:get approval for Your journey and allow sufficient time. • WEAR: your seatbelts and ensure all your passengers also do • OBEY: the Traffic Rules-do not speed. • NO: overtaking at restricted area. • AVOID: driving at night-when the risks are higher. • NO: using GSM while driving. • AVOID: using private vehicles in the interior. • REST:when you feel tired.
