  10. Model Answer Writing I will explain about a food chain that is found in the forest. First, there is grass. Grass is eaten by grasshoppers. Grasshoppers only eat plants. They don’t eat other animals. Next, are frogs. Frogs eat the grasshoppers. Frogs also eat other insects, worms and snails. Then, snakes eat the frogs. Snakes also eat insects, other reptiles and birds. Next, hawks will swoop down and eat the snakes. Hawks also eat rabbits, squirrels and frogs. Last, foxes will eat the hawks. Foxes also eat mice, moles and small birds. In a food chain, there are animals that only eat plants. They are prey. Then, you have animals that eat other animals. They are predators. There are many different levels of predators. Usually, the larger animals eat the smaller ones. However, this is not always true. For example, zebras are large animals. But they only eat plants. They are prey to animals like lions and cheetahs. There are many different food chains in every environment. This is one example of a food chain in the forest.
