  1. Movie Intro Pitch 999 Operator (working Title) Arielle Levack

  2. “a 999 operator received a call 5 years ago from a woman he couldn’t save, now its his mission to stop these haunting dreams and save her”

  3. Synopsis there will be a 999 operator and the story starts where a couple of years ago he was working, and a woman calls him screaming and crying as she has been kidnapped and the operator tries to help but its too late. years go by and he continues to do his job, but the person on the end of the phone comes back and the operator is on a mission to catch him, as he feels guilty and responsible for the woman years before. on this journey, he loses his job due to his erratic behavior to save this girl and becomes alone in an attempt to rewrite the past.

  4. Opening Sequence Break Down How I would present this is that the 999 operators would be sitting in an office room and get a hectic call from a woman screaming and crying that she has been kidnapped,e as he types into the computer and tries to reassure the woman she screams, this scream leads to a sound bridge of an alarm ringing and we get a jump cut to the guy jumping out of bed, rubbing his head from a bad dream, as he recalls the past.

  5. Casting 999 Operator Woman (just her voice) Yough woman Aged 16-25 • A man • Aged 30-45

  6. InfluenceWhat will be the style and feel of the movie it and how it will be presented Camera Work & Pace Mise en Scene/ Look Mise en Scene/ Look In this I want the camera work to be fluid, with the use of panning ang tracking shot, to build tension in the scene. Films which are an inspiration for the camera work are La La Land and Fight Club. The use of the switch from wide shots to close up shot to show how this call is personally affecting him. For the pace of the scene I want to use different camera angles to create a fast pace to build stress, as the man is trying to save her. As well as a longer close up shot, to present him becoming consumed in this phone call and loosing hope as he try’s to save her. There will be a j cut of the sound of the screaming to the alarm going off, and I want a fast jump cut of the man jumping into frame as if he is waking up from a bad dream. With the look of the film, particularly in the opening sequence when he is in the office, in a lowkey lighting to create suspense and unease, the colour would be with blue-grey undertones to create this dark feel, the blue light would come from the computer screens, to show how invested and absorbed he is in his job. As well as the colour blue connoted to isolation and passivity, When we have the switch to the bedroom, there will be high key lighting to show the pass of time, with is being in a warm yellow tone. Which the colour yellow connoted to madness and obsessive, this is as the man still has nightmares about trying to save this girl. The proxemics between the man and the computer will be close to show how consumed he is of his job. The set of the office will be a standard look, featuring computer, bland office walls. There will be no personal items on his desk to show he is alone. He will have a head peace and being wearing and bland dark t-shirt. When we have the change in setting, I want him to be wearing a bland grey top. His hair will be scuffed up and have sweat running down his face, whilst his eyes look dark and heavy. The bedroom will be bland to further show he doesn't really allow himself to have a life outside of work.

  7. Practical consideration • To shoot this we will have to consider the time factors that come into play. We are given 6 h to shoot, which includes travel time. As we have two places to shoot, on or near school campus would be useful as it would give us more time to set up and shoot. • If we have to travel, taking all the equipment with us. • Costs, for the props and cost for the opening sequence, since it is out of pocket costs, using things we already have and borrowing props.

  8. Thank you for watching You know it’s the BEST IDEA you have ever seen
