  2. GMDA in Gurugram is 몭xing up a 3.2 km road between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk. They’re working on getting the land needed for the upgrade. The main focus is on getting 5 acres of land, moving a power substation, and clearing away any unauthorized structures. Once they sort out these issues, they plan to hand over the land to NHAI for the road upgrade. NHAI paused the project because they were having trouble getting the required land. This road is a hotspot for heavy tra몭c and jams during busy times. GMDA in Gurugram had a meeting on Friday to 몭gure out how to get the land needed for upgrading a 3.2 km road between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk. They’re focused on getting about 5 acres of land from a religious trust, moving a power substation, and clearing out any unauthorized structures. After the highways authority decided to pause the upgrade project, GMDA held a meeting to tackle the obstacles causing delays in transferring the needed land for construction. The highway authority mentioned potential delays due to the planned construction of Metro pillars and an elevated road on this stretch. Arun Dhankhar, the main person in charge at GMDA, mentioned they gathered everyone involved for a meeting to 몭gure out how to deal with the land issue and get things moving. They got the revenue department, GMDA, and other groups together to discuss the situation. They found out they needed to move an electricity substation, which is part of the smart city plan. They’re also teaming up with Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) to make sure folks whose land is taken get compensated quickly or get another piece of land in return. They’re sorting out the details to keep things on track. Dhankhar added that they’ve already sorted out a new spot for a CNG station on this road, and it’s going to be moved soon. He emphasized that this road is crucial because it deals with a lot of heavy tra몭c. They’re hustling to make sure NHAI can kick off the project soon by making sure the land gets transferred early on. The part of the road between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk is like a tra몭c hub in the city. Cars from the national highway, Sohna Road, Dwarka expressway, and Old Gurugram all come together here. It gets super crowded, especially during busy times, causing a lot of tra몭c jams.
