  1. What is a Coupling Nut? A coupling nut can be described as an iron fastener that is threaded inside. It is intended to hold two pieces to one another by attaching the coupling nut to the outside of the other part, which is usually an elongated rod. The exterior of a coupling nuts is generally shaped in a hex shape in order to permit a wrench to adjust the tension or release. Fasteners Manufacturers in Mumbai Coupling nuts can be constructed from any kind of material, however, the most commonly used coupling nuts are made of metal because of the durability of the material as well as the many applications where it is used. Metal coupling nuts can be constructed from carbon steel, stainless steel brass, or aluminum. In rarer instances they could be made from PVC or other similar materials. This type of nut operates by using grooves, or threads, inside the material. A uninterrupted male groove runs across on the interior of the nut. Also, one continuous male groove is found across both sides of the component to secure it. When these grooves of males meet and become intertwined, they create an ensuring connection that can be tightened manually or using the aid of a tool. The process of using grooves to hold parts is referred to as threading. Hex Nut Suppliers There are a variety of options for the typical coupling nuts. The size of the coupling nut may vary from less than one inch (.0254 m) to 14 inches (.3556 m) or even more in certain applications. Additionally, the surface of the coupling nuts is a matter of choice. They may be galvanized or plain or coated with another material dyed or coated. Another type of coupling nut comes with something known as the sight hole. It is a small hole on the exterior of the nut, which is a continuous part of the material. A hole for sight on the nut permits a clear examination of the threads from the inside, which allows verification of whether the threads have been correctly engaged.
