  1. Chapter 8 Text 10 Transporting onself to kingdom of God by remembering Him at the time of Death.

  2. Text 10 prayäëa-käle manasäcalena bhaktyä yukto yoga-balena caiva bhruvor madhye präëam äveçya samyak sa taà paraà puruñam upaiti divyam One who, at the time of death, fixes his life air between the eyebrows and, by the strength of yoga, with an undeviating mind, engages himself in remembering the Supreme Lord in full devotion, will certainly attain to the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

  3. Remembering Krsna at the time of death. • One can transport himself/herself to Krsna’s abode by simply remembering Him at the time of death. • A pure devotee does not practice such yoga, but because he is always engaged in Kåñëa consciousness, at death he can remember the Supreme Personality of Godhead by His grace. • Dependence on Krsna to remember.

  4. Importance of Yoga Practice • Word yoga-balena is significant. • without practice of yoga, one cannot come to this transcendental state of being at the time of death.E.g. soldier in Shivaji’s camp. • Mind is disturbed at the time of death and thus difficult to remember Krsna. • Therefore one must practice Bhakti-Yoga during lifetime.

  5. Prayer of King Kulashekhar kåñëa tvadéya-pada-paìkaja-païjaräntam adyaiva me viçatu mänasa-räja-haàsaù präëa-prayäëa-samaye kapha-väta-pittaiù kaëöhävarodhana-vidhau smaraëaà kutas te “My Lord Kåñëa, I pray that the swan of my mind may immediately sink down to the stems of the lotus feet of Your Lordship and be locked in their network; otherwise at the time of my final breath, when my throat is choked up with cough, how will it be possible to think of You?”
