  2. Reduce the Heat Warm water evaporates faster than cooler water. The difference between the pool’s water temperature and the temperature outside causes evaporation. Turning the heater down will also reduce the energy that your pool is using, saving you a few dollars. Copyright @ Authentic Plaster & Tile

  3. Cover It Up You can stop around 98% of the effects of evaporation by just putting a cover on the pool. Covers also minimize temperature changes and stop debris from getting in the pool. Copyright @ Authentic Plaster & Tile

  4. Use a Liquid Solar Cover A super thin layer of alcohol that sits on top of your pool and reduces water evaporation. You can find it in tablets, bottles, or dispensers. The layer is so then that you and your guests won’t feel it while swimming. Copyright @ Authentic Plaster & Tile

  5. Turn Off Water Features If these features are used excessively they can cause an overload of evaporation. They increase the surface area of the water, which in turn increases the evaporation. Just turn off the features when they’re not in use. This reduces the energy that your pool uses along with evaporation. Copyright @ Authentic Plaster & Tile

  6. Add Windbreaks Scrubs and bushes can be used around the pool to break up the wind’s impact on the water. You can also use solid fences around the pool. These windbreaks can also do double duty, and shield the pool from the sun which will also reduce evaporation. Copyright @ Authentic Plaster & Tile
