  8. Write a report to your teacher about your visit to the Kiss BakeryYou may include factual information about :The date and time of the visitWho you metThe experiences at the Kiss Bakery. What was learnt On Thursday 30th October 2021, the standard four class of Arima Girls Roman Catholic Primary School which consisted of twenty students visited the Kiss Bakery Company, the largest bakery in Trinidad and Tobago located in Lange Park, Chaguanas. At approximately 8:45 a.m., the standard four students boarded a twenty-five seater maxi and departed the school compound accompanied by their class teacher, Mr. John Bannet and Ms. SelviaDashin, a standard one teacher. The purpose of this field trip was to learn about the company, its range of products and the process of making some these products. Approximately thirty minutes later, the students arrived at the Kiss Bakery. On entering the factory, the students were taken to the waiting room where they were greeted by the factory manager, Mr. Aiden Ramnarine. Mr. Ramnarine gave a brief history of the Kiss Company and displayed an eight-minute video apprising the students about the safety rules that should be adhered to while in the plant. Mr. Ramnarine then divided the students into two groups of twelve and each group was supervised by a teacher and tour guides, Ms. Smith and Mr. Rampaul. Ms. Smith’s group began their tour in the bread section of the Bakery while Mr. Rampaul’s group started their tour in the cake section. Both groups were taken through each section of the Bakery where the tour guides explained the processes of making the bread and cakes. The entire tour lasted approximately ninety minutes.

  9. At the end of the tour, all the students were taken to the customer service room where Kiss products were on display. Some products included snacks such the goodie, coconut drops, corn bread and kiss cakes and a variety of bread. All students and teachers were then given bags with samples of Kiss products. As the products were being distributed, Mr. Ramnarine joined the students in the customer service room where he complimented the students for adhering to all the safety rules of the plant and asked questions about the tour. After asking some general questions, Mr. Ramnarine asked the students if they wanted to participate in a quiz. All the students agreed, and the class was divided into two groups: group A and B. Mr. Ramnarine proceeded to ask questions about the ingredients and processes of making Kiss breads and cakes. Each group was asked a total of ten questions, each worth ten points and was given the option of answering questions that were answered incorrectly by the opposing group for half of the points. Team A won with a total of ninety- five points. Team B accumulated eighty points. The members of the both teams were presented with Kiss branded stationery. Before leaving the Kiss Bakery, Mr. Bannet expressed appreciation to the tour guides and the manager for their hospitality and the student said their fairwells to the group . Following this, the students then exited the Bakery and boarded the maxi- taxi. The maxi-taxi left the Kiss Bakery at 12:00 p.m. and returned to the Arima Girls Roman Catholic Primary School at 1:00p.m.
