  1. What are Your 2020 ERP Goals

  2. INTRODUCTION With the final quarter of the year well underway, it’s time for reevaluating old strategies. All Project teams are taking their time to seek new initiatives to stay competitive in the manufacturing and distribution sectors all around the globe. SURVEY The reason for focusing on the importance of ERP goals is reaffirmed by the findings of Ultra's ERP Implementation Survey which was conducted by Mint Jutras and President Cindy Jutras. It was sponsored by Ultra Consultants. The survey was conducted on more than 300 US manufacturers and distributors with a well-drafted set of questions designed to hit the basics of concepts about ERP projects. The focus was on projects based on ERP with reference to schedule, costs, and expected ROI.

  3. THE TOP ERP GOALS The options for Specific business cost savings and improvement of selected performance metrics with ERP software solutions were on the top of the list, but they somehow found a surprising fact that less than half (46%) selected each. These two goals provide a straight opportunity for ROI and most companies embarking on an ERP project must cost-justify the expense. ROI ( Return on Investment) Return on investment (ROI) is quite rightly one of the key indicators by which we measure the success of an ERP. By calculating the total cost of ownership (TCO) and the estimate of future earnings, you can calculate your desired ROI for the ERP. The projected ROI decision should be made at the beginning of your implementation—otherwise, how are you going to justify the investment to executives and stakeholders? From the very first step of the project to the last one, the estimated return should be kept in mind while taking any decision in your implementation. If there's a certain move or software customization that isn’t a necessity and will be making your ROI harder to reach in the long run, then don’t go for it.
