  1. Concussions - Symptoms & Treatment Concussions are a typical brain injury typically caused by violent head blows. Concussions can occur in a variety of contact sports. However, any collision between a player's head and a solid object or surface may hurt the head and cause a concussion. They can vary in severity from moderate to extreme. Inevitable concussions are not noticed, but some may cause permanent brain injury. Concussions are caused in the event of a sudden hit that results in the brain colliding into the skull. Brains are enclosed by spinal fluid that acts as an insulator. However, if the collision is sufficiently forceful, it can overcome the cushioning effects of spinal fluid, causing the brain to hit the skull. This causes the brain to start working differently, and occasionally more severe damage could have lasting consequences. Fortunately, the majority of Concussion Treatment in Langley, BC doesn’t cause permanent damage, and the majority of people recover completely. The symptoms of a head injury are confusion, loss of memory, lightheadedness,' seeing star' symptoms, vomiting and balance issues. Most concussions don't cause the loss of consciousness. The long-term effects of a head injury (known as "post-concussive syndrome") may last for days or even weeks. They can include dizziness, headaches, difficulty concentrating, and (usually short-term) changes in sleeping patterns and behavior. If you think someone may be suffering from a concussion, and they are unable to move and unable to move, it could be that they may have an injury to their neck or spine. If you suspect someone could be suffering from a neck injury and that they may have a neck injury, don't ever take them out until the medical professional arrives. Moving someone who has an injury to their neck could severe the damage.
