  1. Traditional & Authentic Food Dishes From Indian States Traditional and authentic food is an identity of the Indian lifestyle. India is famous worldwide for its traditional food and culture. Indian families feel pride themselves on serving when anyone visit their home. These families worship their guests and treat them with very special food. They cooked a wide variety of Indian dishes, especially which are famous in their locality. They used different types of spices to add flavor in the dishes. Mainly, they make two or three dishes as a main course. Indians think the dinner is incomplete without dessert. So, to complete it, they make a dessert. In this article you read about few famous traditional and authentic food dishes. Indian restaurant in Ottawa share with you these famous India dishes. 1. Gutti Vankaya Curry : It is Andhra Pradesh state’s famous dish. This is made with eggplants. Divide eggplants into sliced and add them into gravy which is made with different spices. To prepare this recipe you need few small young brinjals, garlic paste, chopped onion, green chili, coriander, peanuts, fresh coconut, cumin, peanut oil and red chili powder.

  2. Take a pan and add oil in it. After that add mustard, cumin and curry leaves. Then add green chili and onion, fry till then they turned golden. Add the paste of garlic and ginger. Stuff the brinjals with this gravy and add them into the pan. Fry them just for 2 to 3 minutes. Once the brinjals fully cooked, garnish them with coriander leaves. 2. Litti Chokha : Famous and signature dish of Indian state Bihar. Litti is just like a dough ball which is made with wheat flour. The litti is stuffed with Sattu. This dish is prepared on coal or cow dunk cake. You can eat this litti with Chokha. Chokha is also known as traditional curry. To make this curry or Chokha you need few baby potatoes, tomato, garlic, chopped onion, green chilies, ginger, mustard oil and chopped coriander leaves. Roasted the tomatoes, garlic and potatoes and after that peel of them. Put them in a bowl and mash them. Add chopped onion, green chilies, ginger and other ingredients. Chokha is ready to serve.

  3. 3. Sarson ka saag and makki ki roti : Mouthwatering dish of Punjab state prepared with mustard leaves and corn flour. This dish is available only in winter season. Mustard leaves help to keep you warm during the winter season. Take properly chopped mustard leaves and add them into cooker with salt and water and cook over the heat about one and half hours. After that, open the lid of cooker and add corn flour and stir. Cook it again till saag gets thick. For tadka, take chopped garlic, ginger, onion, green chili and saute them until they are light brown. After that add saag in this tadka. 4. Pork Vindaloo: Pork Vindaloo is a traditional dish of Goa state. It is a non-vegetarian dish. It takes more than one an hour to cook. The ingredients of this dish are cumin seeds, coriander seeds, dried red chilies, black peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon sticks, chopped ginger, garlic, pork, vegetable oil and salt.

  4. Make a paste of ginger, garlic and add pork along with salt and other spices. Put it in the fridge for a couple of hours. After that, heat the oil in a pan and add chopped onion. Fry it until golden brown. Add pork and cook it for at least 45-50 minutes. Your pork Vindaloo is ready to eat. These are some famous traditional and authentic dishes of Indian states.
