  1. A Quick Overview; Chemotherapy Is the Major Form of Leukemia Therapeutics A Quick Overview; Chemotherapy Is the Major Form of Leukemia Therapeutics Some of the leukemia therapeutics used to treat childhood leukemia include adaptive anti-tumor immunity therapy, adoptive immune globulin therapy, bone marrow transplants, anti-angiogenesis drugs, combination therapy, etc. Leukemia is one of the most serious types of cancer in children and adults alike. Leukemia is a cancer of the blood-forming tissues, which hinders the body's ability to fight infection. There are many different types of leukemia therapeutics that are used to treat leukemia, with some being more effective than others. Various type of leukemia include chronic lymphocytic leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia, and acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Symptoms of leukemia may include infections, weight loss, fatigue, and bleeding or bruising. Leukemia therapeutics is highly variable. For slow-growing leukaemias, treatment includes monitoring. For aggressive leukaemias, treatment may include chemotherapy. There are also many different drugs that have been proven to be successful in fighting leukemia, as well as several experimental treatments for leukemia. Some of these drugs may be useful in curing certain individuals with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. However, some studies have shown that some people treated with these drugs develop resistance to them in later life. Recently, scientists have been investigating new approaches to treating leukemia and especially to finding a cure for it. One of these approaches involves drug treatment combined with blood transfusions from an HIV infected person who has not been infected with the virus. In Germany, acute myeloid leukemia is treated in more than 900 clinics.

  2. Scientists have also been trying to inject bone marrow into patients, hoping that this will stimulate the bone marrow to create enough blood for the patient. If this works, doctors believe that it may be possible to provide an anti-leukemia therapeutics (treatment) similar to that used for patients with HIV to combat the disease. Common treatments used to fight leukemia include clinical trials, immunotherapy, bone marrow transplant, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, and chemotherapy. In 2019, Japanese government approved coverage of a new therapy to treat leukemia and other cancers, a move that would significantly ease the burden on patients.
