  6. HISTORY • Mr. Pitroda is the chairman of TDU, a Private University situated in Bengaluru. In fact, the university focuses on the modernization of India's medical services. So, the aim is to connect the science and practices of India with western science and innovation. • Before, in 1990 Foundation for the Revitalization of Local Health Traditions Trust began. Mr. Pitroda and Prof. Darshan Shankar framed it to • archive India's natural plant legacy, • save the hereditary pool, and • to create conventional drugs. • Now, FRLHT has more than 200 researchers and experts on 19-sections of land grounds. Meanwhile, it has reported more than 7,000 natural restorative plants. Also, it has more than 100 natural medication gardens, roughly 500 sections of land each. • Furthermore, TDU is an initiative of the Foundation for Revitalization of Local Health Traditions. The programs that started during 1993-2014 by FRLHT were today adopted and expanded by TDU. Thus TDU has inherited the legacy of 24 years of building achievements of the nation.

  7. INFRASTRUCTURE Transdisciplinary University has a vast green campus that sprawls around 1,77,000 sq. feet. Besides, the campus has a green and serene atmosphere which makes it peaceful. Moreover, TDU has an ethnomedicinal garden that contains over 1500 species of medicinal herbs. It has more than 46 theme-based demo plots. TDU campus also includes IT-aided classrooms, Library, cafeteria, laboratories, indoor sports area, hostels for students and staff, a Research hospital, etc... Hostel  Transdisciplinary university has separate well-furnished hostels for both men and women. Rooms are available in single occupancy and double occupancy types. Library Trans-Disciplinary University has an extensive library. It contains 8600 books on various subjects. .

  8. INFRASTRUCTURE Hospitals The Research hospital in TDU has 100 beds with Integrative healthcare. It was a part from FRLHT. Here the students will learn modern knowledge about the Ayurveda system.
