  3. ABOUTUNIVERSITY Mandya University, one of the most significant districts in South Karnataka, noted for the world-famous Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS), a green belt and Karnataka's sugar bowl. The University of Mysore, founded in 1916 on the initiative and vision of His Highness Sri Krishnaraja Wodeyar of then-Mysore State and his Diwan Sir M. Vishweswaraiah for imparting higher education of excellence to state subjects, also ushering in a new era of distinctive education in the erstwhile Mysore state. No wonder that the learning centres started springing up in also and around the capital city –Mysore.

  4. ABOUTUNIVERSITY The Government College of Mandya founded in 1948 as an intermediate college with the goal of providing higher education to the rural masses at a low cost and with ease. Also in the academic year 1990-1991, the college permanently affiliated with the University of Mysore. Due to the ideas and vision of informed people who care about education, a public-spirited campaign has launched to raise funds for the purchase of property for a new college. Many courses supported by the university. In reality, it encompasses over 87 courses, with experts and qualified teachers instructing the students. The total number of applicants is 277, while the teaching staff is 50. Mandya University, also a university in the city of Mandya, Karnataka, India.

  6. HISTORY Mandya University has founded in 1948 with the goal of providing higher education. At the western end of town, near to the Mysore-Bangalore major road, a huge tract of 31.8 acres of green land has set aside for the purpose. The building's foundation stone has set in 1952 by none other than His Highness Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar. As per the government's general policy, the government college has placed under the administrative authority of Collegiate Education in Karnataka in 1961. The institution has updated in 1963 to include degree granting courses.

  7. PLACEMENT The institution is well known for the placement possibilities it provides to its students; unlike other traditional universities, it acknowledges students' promise early on. It also works with the learner to help them develop their abilities and identify their strengths and limitations. This also aids in the student's self-awareness.

  9. UG & PG ELIGIBILITY • B.com: Candidates must pass the admission test and also qualify for a 12th grade or equivalent. They are preferable if they come from a business background. • B.Tech: The applicant must pass the admission examination. They must also have the 10+2 study background pattern and be from the science field. • BSc: The applicant must come from a scientific background and have also completed their 12th grade. The candidates must pass their entrance exam. • BA: Candidates must have completed their 12th grade and also pass the entrance exam. The candidates chosen on the basis of their qualifications. • B Ed.: Candidates may come from any location, but they must have completed their 12th grade. Also candidates must pass the university entrance exam.

  10. UG & PG ELIGIBILITY • B Tech: Candidates must pass an entrance examination as well as a bachelor's degree (B.Tech). They must be qualified and based on merit. • MA: Candidates must have a background in their chosen speciality, as well as a B.A. clearance. They'd better be based on merit. • MBA: Candidates must have merit scores and must pass CMAT, CAT, MAT, and other exams. They must have a BBA/BA/BCom/B. Com background (Hons.). • Mcom: The candidates are to have a bachelor’s clearance with the clearance on merit. they are to be on valid scores with B.Com.

  11. RANKING In 1992, the institution has accepted into the UGC's 2F and 12B programmes, and in 2005-06, it has granted autonomy. It received NAAC accreditation with a grade of "B+" in 2005, and NAAC re-accreditation with a "A" rating and a CGPA of 3.11 in 2010. It has now submitted an application for CPE status. In the year 2016, the institute has re-accredited by NAAC with a “A” grade and a CGPA of 3.22. In 2019, the government approved the Government College as a Mandya unitary university in Mandya. Dr. M S Mahadeva Naik, a special officer, was appointed by the government to promote Mandya University as a growth factor.

  12. INFRASTRUCTURE The institution is well-equipped with a variety of amenities and infrastructures that play an important part in the educational process. On the university campus, there are students. It is one of the most formidable campuses in the nation in terms of technology and modern approach to the educational process and experience, with nearly all of the latest technology and equipment that support the campus. Anti Ragging: The University Grants Commission of India issued laws to Indian institutions in 2009 to assist combat ragging and established a toll-free ‘anti–ragging helpline.' Bullying is a subset of ragging, and ragging is a subset of bullying. Unlike other types of bullying, ragging is clearly identifiable.

The Students Grievance Redressal Cell was established to address issues raised by university students and has the primary structure: • Student grievances are addressed. • Work together with the students and the department to resolve the issues. • Assist students who have been denied access to services to which they are entitled. • To guarantee that student concerns are effectively addressed in a fair and unbiased manner. • Making teaching and support personnel more responsive, responsible, and polite in their interactions with kids.

  15. INFRASTRUCTURE AVR Cell: The audio-visual room is a location where students from all subjects may have a productive learning experience. The audio-visual approach is the most sensory-friendly. It has a stronger effect since it requires more attention throughout the learning process and supports the kid in remembering the information taught through these aids. Mandya University also has access to the educational channels of the international television network, especially the scientific channels. The institution features a well-equipped and well-kept video room with a large collection of instructional and library video paedia. In terms of food, the "green canteen" is stocked with bio-products that have travelled "zero kilometres." In reality, they produce their own veggies in ecologically friendly circumstances, which are supplied to students and employees in the canteen. They reduce CO2 emissions from transportation by delivering their own fresh, seasonal items directly from the vegetable farm to the table. A three-course meal is available to students at a discounted rate.
