  3. ABOUTUNIVERSITY Pratap University is a non-public university, which laid its foundation in 1999. In 1999, the state government approved the university to function as a university. The university has its location in Mahal Rd, Mahal, Jagatpura, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The campus is accessible by all means of transport. The University Grants commission recognized Pratap University.   5. HISTORY Knowing the importance of agriculture, the Government of Rajasthan gave the utmost priority to establish agricultural education in the state. Hence the first agricultural college which was set up was SKN College of Agriculture at Jobner. Later in 1955, Rajasthan College of Agriculture came into Udaipur. Moreover Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur (MPUAT) was the second agricultural university which was set up in 1999. The university was set up by the Government of Rajasthan Ordinance No. 6 of 1999, which became act in 2000. The university started to function as a university from Dec 1, 1999. Moreover Pratap University holds its excellence in learning, teachings, development and research across various fields.

  6. COURSES OFFERED • Pratap University offers forty four courses across eleven multidisciplinary fields. In fact, Pratap University offers courses in full time.   7. ADMISSIONS: In fact, admissions in Pratap University takes place only in online mode. Therefore, students have to seek for the admission form on the college website. Also, students have to complete and fill the application form online to get admission. Further, students have to do online transaction of application fees. Then, students need to write entrance exams which are conducted by the university. However, the admission criteria are both merit-based as well as entrance-based depending on the courses. Besides, the eligibility for each course will be mentioned on the college website. PLACEMENTS: Placements in Pratap University work in harmony with the students. Furthermore, the university has Employability Quotient enhancement programs, Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP) to train the students to get placed. Thus, 80% of students get their job through placement cell. Moreover, the university trains and prepares the student through mock interviews. Also, they conduct workshops to help the students for getting them placed. Also, the hostel has a well equipped structure with all modern amenities. All the hostels are easily reachable with the classrooms, sports and academic areas. Also, the hostel has facilities such as cable TV, lounge, dining hall, reading rooms etc. Non AC rooms are also available with basic amenities.

Grounds for games such as Basketball Ground, Football ground, Cricket ground, Lawn Tennis etc. are available. Moreover, indoor games such as Table Tennis Court, Carrom, Chess are also available. Library Pratap University has a central library on the campus. The library has a wide range of books. Additionally, the university provides online membership for students. In fact, the library holds a collection of books, audio visual resources, students project reports, newspapers and journals and magazines. It provides tasty and quality foods. In fact, the management checks the quality of the foods regularly. Foods are provided at minimal cost. In fact, the cafeteria is the best place on campus. They provide snakes and soft drinks in the cafeteria. Medical facility Pratap University has medical facilities on the campus. The campus has a first aid box everywhere.
