3. ABOUTUNIVERSITY Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya is also known as Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University. It is a state public University. The University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) gave accreditation to this University. This university is located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is established in the year 1964. The main motto of this university is 'Praninampranddakrishi'. This university is named after the architect of Modern India, Former President Jawaharlal Nehru. And also, this university mainly promotes the excellence in education and socio-economic development of the backward castes and scheduled tribes.

Two new Colleges of Agriculture (Panna & Chhindwara) sanctioned and in the process of establishment. This university is on 1544 acres of land.
