  2. Introduction • JELET Exam stands for Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test. Further, the exam is conduct by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. Because, the exam itself name Lateral. • Similarly, the exam is conduct for the students who had previously pursue a B.Sc, Diploma, or D.pharma and are looking for Admission to the colleges in West Bengal in the 2nd year directly. • The first year is consider is to mark as the Null for the Lateral Students because their previous course is cover as the first year. Similarly, the courses for which Lateral Students apply are – B.Tech, B.E., and B.Pharma. • The Exam is a state-level Exam and conduct only once a year. The JELET exam paper comprises Multiple choice questions and also negative marking is also concerned in the evaluation of the exam.

  3. JELET Exam Eligibility Criteria • To be eligible for the exam, the candidate must be eligible as per the eligibility criteria suggested for the JELET Exam. T • he eligibility criteria for the JELET exam are the same for all the categories of students appearing for the exam. • This is because the exam grants admissions, so the student must be eligible for that college also. • The eligibility criteria for the JELET exam is given below: • Age Limit – Certainly, there is no limit on the age for the candidate for appearing in the exam but, for the B.Sc candidates, the age must not exceed 27 years at the time of registration for the exam. • Similarly, for the Diploma holders in Marine engineering the age must not exceed 25 years at the time of registration.

JELET Exam Eligibility Criteria • EDUCATIONALLY ELIGIBLE • For Pharmacy: • The candidate must be passed a diploma with at least 45% marks while for the categories other than general the 40% marks are required minimum from an authorized AICTE approved Institution. • For Engineering/technology: • Candidates seeking admissions for Engineering and Technology must have passed intermediate with at least 45% marks with mathematics as the compulsory subject from an authorized board and also diploma with 45% from an authorized and AICTE approved institution. • Candidates holding a Diploma in Engineering, Technology, or Pharmacy must have their diplomas with a minimum of 45% from any polytechnic institution approved by AICTE. • The candidates having less than 45% marks in the diploma apply will be straight away rejected and are not eligible for the JELET exam. • The only relaxation granted for the reserved or the categories other than the general categories is that the general is allowed to have at least 45% marks in diploma while the other categories are required to have 40% marks in previous education. • JELET exam is not for Foreign students means the candidate who wants to seek admission through the JELET exam must be a citizen of India.

  5. JELET Exam Syllabus JELET Exam Pattern • The JELET exam pattern is simple as it conducts in offline mode and the question paper consists of 100 marks and each question is weight 1 mark. Certainly, every correct answer will be mark for the 1 mark and every 0.25 mark will be deduct for every wrong answer. • Question paper also comprises of the following subjects – Engineering Mathematics, Computer Application, Electrical Technology, Environmental Engineering, Strength of Materials, Engineering Mechanics, Soil and Water, Farm Machinery and Power, Food processes and Food Harvest Engineering, Basic Printing Engineering, Printers’ Material Science, Mathematics, and Pharmacy. • Moreover, the topics that come in engineering mathematics are – Matrix and Vector, Numerical Method, Differential Equations, Partial Differentiation, Probability, and Statistics. • The topics that come under the Electrical Technology are – Kirchoff’s Law, AC Fundamentals, AC Series Circuits, Storage cells, Transformers, motors, Magnetic Circuits, Motor starter, Motors for industrial uses, Power for industrial use, Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution, House wiring, and so on.

  6. JELET Exam Admit Card • The admit card for the JELET Exam was release by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. Subsequently, the candidates are suggest to download the JELET admit card from the official website after filling up the credentials. • The admit is also know as the exam hall entry ticket without that the entry for giving the examination is invalid. • The candidates are suggest to properly upload the image as per the guidelines because that will be display on the admit card and if any problem occurs, then the candidate may suffer at the time of examination because if the hall ticket is not clear then the entry may be not grant. • Moreover, the JELET Admit card will have the Exam center code, Exam center Name, Date of the examination, and most importantly, the registration number of the candidate. • To Clarify, the JELET exam admits card release date was August 23, 2021. • The highlights of the JELET admit card elaborates that the candidate is not eligible to appear in the exam center other than the allotted one.

  7. JELET Exam Result • Further, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will release the result on the official website. The JELET result dates are not released yet but the notification for the dates of the JELET result will be release shortly. • Therefore, the result will release in the form of the rank card that contains the rank of the candidate with the total score. • The candidates have to follow the following steps to fetch the result from the official website when released- • Step-1 – Visit the official Website. • Step-2 – Find the relevant link “JELET results” • step-3 – Log in with the credentials (id, password, username) that were provided at the time of the registration. • Step-4 – The result will appear in the form of a scorecard on the screen. • Step-5 – The candidates are required to download and take a printout of that scorecard which is the JELET result for Future Use.

How to Check the JELET Exam Result? • The candidates have to follow the following steps to fetch the result from the official website when released- • Step-1 – Visit the official Website. • Step-2 – Find the relevant link “JELET results” • step-3 – Log in with the credentials (id, password, username) that were provided at the time of the registration. • Step-4 – The result will appear in the form of a scorecard on the screen. • Step-5 – The candidates are required to download and take a printout of that scorecard which is the JELET result for Future Use. • Consequently, the candidates who give the JELET Exam are suggest to download the result from the official website. Most importantly, the details mentioned on the JELET result are – Candidate’s name, Date of Birth, Examination name, Register Number, Roll Number, Marks secured, Rank secured, Overall Rank, Category, PC rank, and so on.

How ToApply? • The candidate must follow the following steps for registering for the JELET Exam – • Registration – Step 1 • The candidate is suggested to register with all the genuine attributes. Candidate must fill the registration form with documented name, Mobile number, and email id to create a new account to fill-up the form. • The login details will be sent to the verified mobile number that is required to log in for further references. • Filling up the Application Form – Step 2 • In this step, the candidates must have to fill in the credentials such as name personal details, Academic details, and contacts as per the documentation verified by the Government. • Uploading of Image – Step 3 • The candidates are required to upload all the scanned documents. The scanned documents are required photo, Signature, and left-hand thumb impression. • Most importantly, the photo must have a transparent background, and also the focus must be on the face of the candidate.

How ToApply? • Payment of Registration fee – step 4 • The medium for the online medium of payment is Net Banking, Credit card, or Debut card. • The candidate is suggested to keep the transaction slip and in case of the offline payment keep the slip or note the slip/challan number for future references. • Confirmation Page – Step 5 • After filling the application form, recheck all the entered information and click on the confirmation button. • Moreover, the image to be upload must have the dimension of (3.5cm x 3.5cm), size of (10KB – 100KB), and format of the image must be .jpg/ .jpeg. Similarly, for the signature and left-hand thumb impression dimensions must be of (3.5cm x 1.5cm), size of (3KB – 30KB), and the format must be of .jpg/.jpeg.

  11. ImportantFAQ Q. How can the candidate review the result, if possible? Answer – The information regarding the re-evaluation or reviewing the result is not available and also it is not disclosed by the WBJEE board, but the candidate may review the result after consulting the authorities for more information. Q. Is there any difference between the scorecard and the result? Answer – Likewise, there is no difference between the scorecard or the result. Moreover, the only difference is that the result on the screen can be consider as the scorecard and in print form, it is consider as the Result. Q. What are the requirements to get admission to Jadavpur University through JELET Exam? Answer – The process for getting admission to Jadavpur university is also the same but the difference is that Jadavpur university suggests filling the JELET examination form through their official Website. Also, the marks to get admission are somewhat more than that of other universities. Q. What is the number of applicants who appear for the JELET exam? Answer – There are a lot of candidates who appear for the JELET examination while some of them only register and do not appear for the exam. For instance, From the previous insights, it can be conclude that near about 73,000 students sit in the JELET exam. Q. Is there any way left for the Candidate to take admission if not qualify for the JELET? Moreover, No there is no possible way for the Candidate to take admission in the colleges that accept candidates through JELET. Moreover, Such candidates are free to take admissions to indirect admission Colleges. Q. Does the Merit list of all the courses are the same? No, the Merit list of all the courses is different.
