MICAT Exam

  2. Introduction • MICAT is an online admission exam for MICA’s PGDM course. MICAT is a one-of-a-kind MBA admission test that has objective and subjective questions. MICA known as Mudra Institute of Communications is a business school. It is located in Ahmedabad. It includes objective and subjective questions. Along with the Maths, English, and Reasoning, there are sections such as the Descriptive Language Test and Psychometric Test. • MICA is known as Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. MICA is located in the city of Ahmedabad. It was founded in 1991. MICA provides a variety of PG certificate programs in the areas of strategic communication and marketing. It also has a Ph.D. program. • MICAT is an online admission exam for PGDM-C. It includes objective and subjective questions along with Maths, English, and Reasoning. There are further sections such as the Descriptive Language Test and Psychometric Test. MICA will announce the selection procedure for the year 2022-24. The MICAT test has two parts: MICAT I and MICAT II. MICA considers the best scores of the applicants and takes them into account while making the shortlist. The institution will select the candidate based on CAT/GMAT/XAT, MICAT, GE, and PI scores.

The second phase test will be online or on a computer on January 30, 2021. The education qualifying criteria are as follows: • The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution or university. • Candidates must finish their 10+2 and Bachelor’s degrees. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline will be considered. • Students in their last year can also apply. • Candidates who have taken any of the entrance tests, such as the CAT, XAT, or GMAT, are allowed to apply. They must have a minimum score of 50% to be qualified. • Foreign Nationals and NRI applicants are only eligible if they have a valid foreign passport as well as valid GMAT/XAT/CAT scores. They can apply under the classification of foreign nationals.

MICAT Exam Eligibility Criteria • Criteria for CAT Eligibility: • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university. • They must have a minimum of 50% (for the general category and 45 percent for SC/ST). • Candidates who are in the last year of their exams or who are awaiting their results can also apply. • Criteria for XAT Eligibility: • The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. • All of the candidate’s backlogs should be cleared. • The XAT does not impose an age limit on candidates. • Candidates with a qualifying GMAT score can also take the XAT. • Criteria for GMAT Eligibility • The candidate must be at least 18 years old. • A candidate can take the GMAT maximum of five times per year. • There is no formal need for job experience.

MICAT Exam Syllabus MICAT Exam Pattern • Section A: Psychometric Exam • The first part of the MICAT question paper assesses the candidate’s problem-solving abilities. • Candidates must pass this test before being judged on their progress in the second and third portions. • The questions in this portion of the exam are split into three groups. • Two questions are provided in the form of arguments. • The third question is a series to be evaluated. • Section B: Descriptive Exam • The curriculum for this portion is not specific. This portion of the MICAT exam includes 3 to 4 descriptive questions. Candidates will be given a collection of images and asked to construct a storyline out of them. Applicants must read current events and fiction for creative writing abilities. • Section C: Verbal Ability, Maths, General Awareness, Reasoning • Section C of the MICAT syllabus covers the same themes as other MBA admission exams, including Verbal Ability, Maths, General Awareness, and Reasoning.

  6. The admit card will be available one week before the exam date. Candidates who submit the application form will be able to access the admit card. The user ID and password during the application form filling process will be used to download the hall ticket. MICA Ahmedabad would issue separate admission cards for both MICAT 2021 sessions. On the day of the exam, candidates must bring a physical copy of their to admit card. Failure to bring the MICAT admission card will result in exclusion from the exam hall.   7. MICAT Exam Result • MICAT 2020-21 was announced on May 11. Candidates can get the final result through their email addresses. MICA announced the phase I and phase II results on December 21 and February 15. Candidates must use their login IDs to get their MICAT scores. The GE and PI rounds went as per the planning. The institute published the results based on the performance in the admission test, GE, and PI. The merit list will make the final selection of candidates.

How to Check the MICAT Exam Result? • Candidates can verify their MICAT results for phases I and II by following the instructions outlined below. • Go to the official website or click on the link. • Hover your mouse over the hovering link to learn more. • Enter your login ID here. • Enter your password here • Please enter submit. • The MICAT(I & II) scorecard will be shown on the screen. • Click on download and save a copy to your computer’s desktop. • NOTE: Because the scorecards will only be accessible for a short time, test participants must ensure that they obtain their particular scorecards before the deadline. Candidates must provide a copy of their scorecards to the GE/PI round.

  9. How ToApply? • Go to the main site of MICA and click on the Apply Now button. • Fill in the details and take the time to read the terms and conditions. To accept the Terms & Conditions, click the “I Agree” button. When you’re finished, click the “Submit” button. • MICA Username and password will be issued to registered email addresses and mobile phone numbers. • When you hit the ‘Submit’ button, a new window appears. To continue, click the Go to Application Form button in the top right corner of the page. • Enter your personal information, including your parents’ date of birth, sex, citizenship, marital status, and so forth. • Upload a photo of yourself and your signature. The files must be in JPEG or GIF format, with a maximum file size of 80 KB. • Enter information about your academic and professional background. • Choose a test from CAT, XAT, or GMAT and input your scores. • Choose a program and a city for the test center. • Complete the registration process by paying the required registration cost.
