3. National Institute of Technology, NIT Jamshedpur Established on 15 August 1960, NIT Jamshedpur is in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, and is one of India's 32 NITs. HISTORY National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur was founded as the Regional Institute of Technology in 1960 by Dr. Sri Krishna Sinha, the then Chief Minister of thestate of Bihar(unpartitioned).
