Monthly cleaning tasks: The tasks included in your monthly schedule can usually afford to be neglected during your daily and weekly tasks but should be carried out at least every month to ensure that your home doesn’t get too grimy and cluttered. It might be that your washing machine and dishwasher need to be cleaned if you use both items frequently, and as these tasks involve running both machines with cleaning solutions, they don’t take up too much time, but can take longer if they are left to get really grimy. Some like to clean their bedding every month, and any children in the household (if old enough) should be encouraged to blitz their bedrooms once a month. Windows get grubby quickly and really benefit from being cleaned once a month if you have time, as do bathrooms and kitchens.
Cleaning tasks that are dependent on the seasons: Some of these seasonal cleaning tasks can be performed just twice a year, or every six months, but depending on the conditions, may need to be done every couple of months instead. Spring is a great time to blitz your entire home top to bottom, and winter may see you storing summer items away for safekeeping or having a yard sale to declutter before the festive period.
