  1. Is Your Oven An Eyesore And Potential Health Hazard?

  2. There’s no need to resort to using harsh chemicals if your oven is in desperate need of a clean, and below are a few simple ways to get your oven looking like new again, without harming the environment: What you’ll need: Cleaning gloves Atomizer A cloth or sponge ½ cup of baking soda

  3. Vinegar Water A small container What to remember: It helps to remember that vinegar is best known for its disinfecting properties, is great for grease, stain and odor removal, acts as a bactericide and can help to eliminate to rust, while baking soda is a fantastic deodorizer and is both cheap and readily available, as is vinegar.

  4. Cleaning the inside of your oven: Take out the grills and any other attachments inside your oven, then make up a paste from baking soda and water mixed together in a small bowl. Pop on your cleaning gloves, then daub the paste all over the interior of the oven, paying extra attention to those areas that are worst affected. The baking soda will go brown, but don’t worry, this is perfectly normal. If possible, leave the paste on overnight or for at least 12 hours. Then, take a damp cloth or sponge and wipe it over the interior, removing as much of the dried paste as possible, before pouring vinegar into a spray bottle and squirt it over the areas where the paste still remains. When you spray the vinegar over the remaining paste, it will fizz and foam, and then you can try again to remove it all with a damp cloth or sponge.

  5. Keep going like this until the oven is completely clean. If you need it to dry out quickly, simply turn the oven on for a few minutes, and hey presto, you have one sparkling, almost as good as new oven again! Cleaning the window: Using the same paste as you previously used to clean the inside of the oven, apply it over the oven window and leave for 30 minutes before wiping it off.

  6. Cleaning the racks: Some dirty racks may need to be soaked overnight, but you can use the same paste method to help eliminate crusted food debris and grime, and hopefully they won’t require too much elbow grease to get them shining and dirt-free again. If the thought of tackling your dirty oven is just too much to bear, you can always call in the professionals and sit back and watch as they do all the hard work!
