  3. Serengeti National Park Serengeti national park is among the largest and famous national parks in Africa. It is found in the northwest of Tanzania and offers the best wildlife spotting in the world. The park covers an area of approximately 15,000 square kilometres, and is considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world. In the Serengeti, large numbers of animal herds migrate from the north to the south of the park seeking for pasture. The park is truly blessed when it comes to wildlife attractions because apart from having migrating wildebeests, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle the park is also the home for the big five. In a good day, you can spot the Cheetah also as they are attracted to the park due to the presence of their favourite food – gazelles.

  4. Ngorongoro Crater Ngorongoro Crater, also known as the Ngorongoro conservation area, is another majestic and unique wildlife home in Tanzania. Located about 185 km west of Arusha town, it has more than 31,000 animals roaming freely in their zone. Animals found here include Zebras, wildebeests, elands, the elusive black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, and many more. Various large birds call the crater home including the flamingos, Ostriches, and vultures.

  5. Lake Manyara National Park Located in northern Tanzania, Lake Manyara national park is one of the few places where you can find tree climbing lions in the day time. This is a spectacular site in itself. Manyara’s closeness to both Ngorongoro and the Serengeti means that you can include it as part of your itinerary to visit either of the bigger two and make a stop at Manyara to take in the wildlife view there. The lake itself is shallow and alkaline.
