  1. Can a novice learn the basics about Computers? It’s one thing to use a computer for specific purposes and another to have no experience with other computer programs. Imagine if you had to teach someone about computers. It would be challenging if they did not know about scrolling or highlighting a sentence. Learning to use a computer is as important as teaching the basics until you get to the advanced concepts. If you don’t have the time to learn about computers at a physical setup, take up online computer classes. This will help you learn from wherever you like and at a time suitable to your schedule. If you don’t have the time to teach, you can direct the person to learn online computer classes. However, let’s say you were assigned the task of teaching a set of students to learn about computers. How would you teach them the basics?

  2. Basic computer learning instructions to teach a student 1.Get to know more about what the student knows regarding Computers. Ask them specific questions like what is a Computer used for, do you know how to switch on a computer, how to adjust the brightness of a screen and similar questions. You will understand how to teach them based on what they know and don’t know. 2.For students who do not know how to use a mouse. First, show them how the mouse is used and then let them perform the same action. You can direct them or ask them to do it on their own until they get the hang of it. Using a mouse is not difficult. Many people think that everyone would know how to use one. However, first-time users including the elderly are unaware of how to use a mouse. 3.The next thing to teach the student would be the keyboard and what each key represents. You can help them practice using a keyboard on a word document or in an email window, and similar programs. 4.Another lesson could be to enable the student to click on the files and icons that interest them. Teach them about the functions of those files. Later, make them click on the important files and software. Examples of daily used programs could be such as Excel sheets, Word documents, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, etc. 5.Show and teach the student how to access an email ID and how to send one to a recipient. An emailing program has several key functions that will benefit a student from learning and using them. 6.Teach them important security measures like deleting files, organising them, or logging out of an email ID. Typically, functions that help them learn to stay more organised and help secure their data from getting stolen. Online computer classes and much more can be taught to students who want to learn the basics. At Edulyte, we have an online certified computer course that will help you gain clarity about the basics, its functional use, benefits, and implementation. You will also receive informative material to help you with effective comprehension and clear your doubts.
