  2. 1. How long does the process of eyebrow transplantation take? • The duration of the procedure depends upon the no. of hair follicle grafting / transplantation. Around 200 hair follicle grafting should be over in 2 hours’ time.

  3. 2. What is the side-effect of eyebrow transplantation? Post-procedure, one might experience pain in the donor and grafting area. Crusting will happen in a few days and old hairs may fall as part of healing. In a few days, hair from the grafted follicles starts falling. By following the dos & Don’ts, one can handle the aftereffect of the procedure.

  4. 3. What is the post procedure Do’s & Don’ts? The details are as follows: • Dressing is done in the hair donor area for 2-3 days. • The grafted area is kept un-dressed for faster healing. • Don’t fiddle with the bruises or grafted area due to itching or paining. • Sterile wipes should be used for wiping/cleansing the face except for the procedure area • Scalp hair wash should be done based on dermato-surgeon’s advice • Advised medication should be followed. • In case of persistent pain/itch, report to the counselor or clinic. • Follow the review consultation schedule informed by the dermato-surgeon.

  5. 4. Can anyone identify about eyebrow transplantation? The extracted hair follicles are grafted in such a direction that it matches the other hairs in the recipient area. Moreover, the hair follicle selected for grafting needs to fulfill two important aspects – the hair follicle considered for grafting should have characteristics similar to eyebrow hair. And secondly, the direction in which the extracted hair follicle is grafted. Post recovery, the new hair grown in the eyebrow area is natural and looks very much similar to original eyebrow hair.
