Our values to foster youth participation of young people in civil society a group of international youth workers and educators we are active at local, national and international level to bring social changes, development and improvement to society our target is everyone who would like to improve to make European Union more united to build a future full of opportunities for everyone cooperating with whole Europe and beyond

ABOUT EUROSUD Being one of the perspective growing NGOs in our region Puglia and promoting youth initiatives in our city Bari and neighbourhood, we deeply recognize the responsibility towards the development of future. In this regard, we see the importance of connecting youth with different backgrounds together, promoting dialogue between different groups of people and helping to develop an independent, progressive and upgraded civil society. EUROSUD is established in the small city of Triggiano. Close countryside and rural area around Bari. The organization is made up of number of experts with a goal to offer a support, help, services and counselling in the area of civil society and democratic institutions development, civil values, and non-formal education for all citizens (especially for young people). EUROSUD organizes events (round tables, debates, seminars and workshops) about activism, education, promotion and exchange regarding human rights, development of local, regional, European and international cooperation.

  6. EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS The volunteers will have contact with a new culture, will meet new people and will live new experiences. The volunteer will have the opportunity to participate on events’ organization and in several activities promoted by EUROSUD . Being the voluntary from a different nationality, they can share their experience and culture giving projects added value in the European intercultural sphere. Before the departure, each ESC volunteer must sign the volunteering agreement. This agreement will set the tasks that the volunteer will perform during the ESC project, as well as the intended learning results. As part of the agreement, the volunteer will receive a ESC pack containing information about what to expect from ESC and how to use Youthpass, and it will also receive a certificate in the end of the action.

  7. IN SOCIAL RESTAURANT The volunteers will help our staff chef instructors and local staff to prepare meals for homeless and disadvantage people. No experience required, and you will learn more than you thought possible about cutting food of all sorts! A great opportunity for hands-on volunteer work during the week! Help our Food Services team prepare and serve nutritious home-cooked meals to our guests! Volunteers help with a wide range of kitchen activities from food prep and coordination of group activities, to cleaning, packaging, setting up and food distribution. There are also regular volunteer events for those who are able to offer more consistent help. MORE INFO HERE

VOLUNTEER AT THE “ETHNIC COOK” ETHNIC COOK is a bar-bistro where you can eat healthy, enjoy the urban chic atmosphere.Ethnic Cook is a project of the association Origens born in 2008 thanks to Ana Estrela with the objective of promoting Brazilian culture, Afro-Brazilian culture, diaspora culture, organizing a series of events in Bari with debates, concerts, shows, dance seminars , cooking lessons. Volunteers will be involved in the kitchen activities as well as in the social promotion events. From cooking to serving at the tables, from helping out at special events to putting your skills at the service of the community, we need your support! MORE INFO HERE

  9. VOLUNTEER IN EUROSUD ACTIVITIES There are several activities for volunteers to participate. Besides regular activities,volunteers can develop their own local activities by the support of EUROSUD team. General activities : • To promote volunteering: by creating a blog, through social networks, press and local meetings in schools; • To work with people with economic difficulties and/ or in a long lasting unemployment situation ; • Creating English curse for youth and people in need; • Creativity and development (according to volunteers' interests and skills Radio podcast or Photos exhibition); • Supporting project manager in developing local and international projects. • Supporting local school English teacher in daily classes • Volunteering in the youth centre in order to support educators and youth workers MORE INFO HERE

VOLUNTEER AT THE “BIKE PROJECT” Volunteering at The Bike Project is a great way to learn more about cycling and bike repair, as well as meet interesting people and give back to our local community. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to learn through an apprenticeship model: if you don’t know how to do a repair, you can learn by watching a more experienced volunteer. Before you know it, you will know how to make the basic procedures that make up the majority of our repairs. MORE INFO HERE

VOLUNTEER AT "PLEIADI" KIDS SUPPORT The association "PLEIADI" mainly deals with children and youth with specific learning disorders and in cognitive development in general, with specialized support from psychologists and tutors. These activities help children practise their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Activities: Specialized tutoring for children and,teens with DSA Cognitive enhancement Enhancement of basic Italian language skills Mathematics enhancement Laboratory activities Homework support MORE INFO HERE

  12. VOLUNTEERS PROFILE This ESC is open to all young people between 18 - 30 years old. Volunteers will be selected in a fair, transparent and objective way, no matter their ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or political opinion. The selection process will be done with the cooperation between sending organization and EUROSUD team.. Volunteers will be hosted in apartment with two/three rooms and single bed per room,located in Triggiano city center.
