  1. Ill Effects of Being Overweight We’ve all either come across someone that is overweight or have walked in their shoes at some point in our lives. Being obese or overweight is the gateway to attracting all kinds of health problems down the line. These health problems don’t necessarily show up immediately and can have massive compounded effects on your bodies in the future. Often times when someone grows a level of awareness towards their health, they start working on weight reduction but drop it halfway due to the dedication it requires to see it through. In such cases, people often tend to rebound on their weight loss and gain even more weight than they have lost by reverting to their old unhealthy habits. There are many reason why one can be overweight; some common reasons being genetics, eating disorders, mental health issues or just a poor choice of diet. Whatever the reasons may be, being overweight can have some devastating effects on one’s body. Some of the most typical issues that doctors come across on a sub-daily basis when dealing with overweight patients are: 1. Joint And Muscle Pain– Our bodies are very strong as to be able to support more than what we are supposed to weight but even the strongest has a breaking point. People often complain of severe back and knee aches from being overweight as these two places handle and balance most of our body weight. It is not only crucial to lose weight in order to stop this pain from recurring but one must also focus their efforts of building a strengthening the muscles in these regions which will further allow them to do more in order to get and stay fit.

  2. 2. Diabetes– Diabetes as the metabolic disease in which a person has high blood glucose which manifests in the body from regular intake of high sugar content foods. Type 2 Diabetes is a common occurrence among overweight people. It is a health condition where the body does not produce enough insulin for proper function which can cause an array of problems. 3. High Cholesterol–I don’t think it needs to be reiterated that high cholesterol can cause serious problems in one’s body. Consumption of fried foods on a regular basis results in abnormal blood lipid levels, including high cholesterol levels and high triglyceride levels. This increases the chances of having a heart attack or a stroke due to clogged pulmonary arteries and blood vessels.
