  1. What Diet Should We Avoid During Monsoon?    Monsoon is a season which brings with it infections, water-borne diseases, and                 several other illnesses. In order to remain healthy and safe in the monsoon, it is             essential that we maintain a healthy diet in monsoon.     Only when we eat healthy, exercise and follow a healthy lifestyle, will our body be               prepared to fight infections.     Here are some foods which you should avoid during the monsoon:    Try to Avoid too much salt    Consuming too much salt can lead to water retention and high blood pressure               levels.

  2.   These factors may cause additional problems during the rainy season and           therefore too much salt should be avoided from your diet during the monsoon             season.    Try to Avoid Watery Foods    Consuming watery foods may lead to swelling and water retention.                                   Therefore, foods like buttermilk, lassi, rice, watermelon and so on should be           preferably avoided during the monsoon season.      Try to Avoid Spicy Food

  3. I am aware how much some of them love spicy food! But during the monsoon                 foods with too much spice should be avoided.                       This is because spicy food increases the body temperature and stimulates blood             circulation which may lead to a faster spread of allergies.    Try to Avoid Street-Food    Pre-cut fruits in the rainy season or any other street food should be strictly avoided during the monsoon season.

  4.     This is because, in this season, there are several contagious infections and               eating street food directly exposes you to such infections and illnesses    Try to Avoid Green Leafy Vegetables    Even though green leafy vegetables are essential sources of nutrients, the grime and dampness present make them highly susceptible to germs.

  5.     Thus, try avoiding green leafy vegetables as much as possible in the monsoon           season.     Try to Avoid Seafood    The rainy season is the breeding season for fish and prawns so it is good if you             can avoid seafood during the monsoon season.

  6.     Try to eat other types of meat like chicken during this season if eating                 non-vegetarian is absolutely essential for you.    Try to Avoid Fried Food    We all crave fried pakoras and bhajis in the monsoon season but such fried food                 should be avoided during this season!

  7.     The humid monsoon weather causes our digestion process to slow down and           eating fried food may cause gastronomical complications like bloating and           stomach upsets.     Therefore, avoiding fried food is best in monsoon.     Conclusion    Eating clean and premium quality food is essential in the monsoon season.
