  1. The Bactifeed Soil System “Making Your Soil Pure Again.”

  2. The Bactifeed Soil System • Basic Biological Soil Treatment • Soil Booster Pack • Animal Waste Treatment • Organic Package • Spay Application Package

  3. Starting From The Soil Up • Oxygen • Organic Matter • Water • Sand, Silt and Clay

  4. Starting From The Soil Up • Sand, Silt and Clay • Water • Oxygen • Organic Matter

  5. Benefits of Good Organic Matter • Better Water Penetration • Better Water Retention • Better Nutrient Availability • Reduced Compaction • Buffer Salts • Healthier Roots • Reduced Stress on Plants

  6. Soil Organic Matter • Soil is composed of minerals and organic matter, as well as living organisms. The minerals are derived from the weathering of rocks and minerals. The organic matter in soil derives from plants and animals. …

  7. Soil Organic Matter … When it decomposes to the point it is no longer recognizable it is called soil organic matter. When the organic matter has broken down into a stable humic substances that resist further decomposition it is called humus. Thus soil organic matter comprises all of the organic matter in the soil exclusive of the undecayed material.

  8. Soil Organic Matter • In other words, if you can see it, it’s not organic matter.

  9. Ways to Improve Organic Matter • Compost or Manure • Crop Residue and Rotation • Biological Stimulants • Liquid Tea or Fish Emulsion • Humic Acids • All are either costly, slow, or hard to apply.

  10. Farmer Survey • Easier to use • Put more on per acre • Apply actual micro-organisms • Quicker response time • More cost effective

  21. Bactifeed – Biological Package • Bacillus subtilis • Pseudomonas putida • Azobacter • Actinomycetes • Enzymes producing bacteria • Sub-cultures

  22. Bactifeed - Microorganism Bacillus subtilis is a Gram-positive, catalase-positive bacterium commonly found in soil. A member of the genusBacillus, B. subtilis has the ability to form a tough, protective endospore, allowing the organism to tolerate extreme environmental conditions.

  23. Bactifeed - Microorganism Actinomycetes - They include some of the most common soil life, playing an important role in decomposition of organic materials, such as cellulose and chitin and thereby play a vital part in organic matter turnover and carbon cycle. Thus replenishing the supply of nutrients in the soil and is an important part of humus formation.

  24. Bactifeed - Microorganism Pseudomonas putida- It demonstrates very diverse metabolism, including the ability to degrade organic solvents such as toluene. This ability has been put to use in bioremediation, or the use of microorganisms to biodegrade oil.

  25. Bactifeed - Microorganism Azobacter - Azobacter is an organism, is a free-living soil bacteria, they are capable of fixing nitrogen, if they are provided carbohydrate material. The carbohydrate is oxidized and supply energy necessary for the fixation of the atmospheric nitrogen. This nitrogen becomes available to plants after the death …

  26. Bactifeed - Microorganism Enzymes producing bacteria –Enzymnes are proteins that catalyze (i.e.accelerate) chemical reactions.[1] In enzymatic reactions, the molecules at the beginning of the process are called substrates, and the enzyme converts them into different molecules, the products. Almost all processes in a biological cell need enzymes in order to occur at significant rates.

  27. Bactifeed – Food Package After putting together a strong biological package we developed a feed package that includes essential elements that are in the soil and needed to form strong, healthy plant growth.
